• At Bay Pediatric Dentistry, we are pleased to be able to offer dental services specifically for children. Prevention and education are important in our practice. We take seriously the need for you and your child to understand how to take charge of and protect your child's oral health. Our pediatric dentists and staff are always available to answer questions about your child's dental needs and the services we can provide for your child's ideal treatment.

We offer a wide range of services to meet the need of your child including:

    Comprehensive Examination:

The comprehensive examination is a process in which the pediatric dentist gathers information about your child's dentition, growth, and development to provide a thorough diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan. This examination may include x-rays.

Growth and Development: The pediatric dentist will evaluate and monitor your child's growth and development at each hygiene maintenance appointment. This is critical for proper function as well as esthetics.

Caries Examination: During this visual examination, the pediatric dentist locates areas of decay on chewing surfaces and between the teeth. A clinical exam, a laser cavity detection device, and x-ray findings will enable the dentist to determine optimum treatment for your child's oral needs.

Periodontal Examination: The pediatric dentist will examine your child's gum tissue to insure that gum disease is detected in its early stages. Our hygiene department provides preventative care for your child and home care instructions for parents and patients. This will enable your child to maintain proper brushing and flossing habits and a healthy mouth for a lifetime.

    Preventative Services

Prophylaxis (dental cleaning): These important appointments allow the pediatric dentist and the hygienist to monitor your child's oral health. The hygienist will clean and polish the teeth. This helps to promote healthy gums and teeth by removing plaque that can cause decay and gum infection. They will also provide oral hygiene recommendations specifically for your child.

Fluoride Treatments: Fluoride applications help to strengthen the enamel on your child's teeth, making it more difficult for cavities to begin. Children should be receiving fluoride treatments every six months.

Sealants: Sealants protect the chewing surfaces of the back teeth and should be applied as a child's permanent teeth erupt. We may recommend sealants for the child's primary teeth as well. The sealants that we have placed have been highly successful in preventing decay.

Mouthguards: Our office offers custom made mouthguards. Mouthguards are critical in protecting your child's mouth and teeth and preventing concussion during participating in contact sports.

Skin Care: Dr. Diana provides Botox and fillers for adults.  This service is by private appointment only.  Dr. Diana has been trained an certified by the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics.
